Frequently asked questions
Q1. AM I REALLY LOCKED IN A ROOM WITH NO WAY OUT?
No. Whilst we aim to make the experience as authentic as possible, players can leave at any time via easilly accessible exit doors.
Q2. WILL I BE WITH OTHER TEAMS?
No. Your booking secures the whole room for you and your team. You will never be placed with other teams.
Q3. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
Most of our room last an hour. Please arrive 15 minutes early for a briefing period and introduction.
Q4. ARE MOBILE PHONES/CAMERAS PERMITTED IN THE ROOMS?
We request that you do not take these into the rooom as photos may spoil the experience for future users. Lockers are provided free of charge to store your valuables for the duration of the game, and we will take a free photo of you and your team after the game.
Q5. HOW MANY PLAYERS CAN I HAVE?
The minimum per room is 2, and the maximum is 8. If you have more players you are welcome to book multiple rooms and compete in a head to head competition.
Q6. IS THERE AN AGE RESTRICTION?
Whilst there is no minimum age, our games are designed to be a challenge for all players. If you are unsure about the suitability of our games please feel free to give us a call.
Q7. IS IT SUITABLE FOR THOSE WITH DISABILITIES?
Whilst we have made every effort to make the games accessible for everyone, parts of the puzzles include uneven ground and a small element of physical dexterity, meaning some may find them difficult to complete. Also, due to our building being very old we do not have a door wide enough for wheelchairs to fit through, and some elements of our games will be across multiple floors which are accessed via stairs.
Our Jailbreak game will require an extra level of physical activity and is therefore not recommended for those with disabilities or those who are pregnant.
Q8. HOW DO I GET TO YOU?
We are situated on the Wincheap Industrial Estate in Canterbury (CT1 3RA for your sat nav). The site is a 5 minute walk from Canterbury East train station. Click here for Google maps
Q9. DO YOU HAVE PARKING?
Whilst we don't have parking on our own site there are a number of options in the very close proximity. The closest is Maynard Road car park which is situated a few minutes walk from our site. Alternatively Wincheap park and ride is the next closest at around half a mile away.

HOW TO FIND US
By Car
If you’re using a satnav, please use the following address: Unit 1, 1 Simmonds Road, Wincheap Industrial Estate, Canterbury, Kent, CT1 3RA.
No on site parking is available but free on street parking available in evenings and on Sundays.
In other times Maynard Road car park is 0.1 mile away.
By Train
Escape Kent is 0.2 miles from Canterbury East station. After leaving the station walk along Station Road East and turn left at the roundabout. Take the first right on to Simmonds Road and we are right in front of you.
From Canterbury West station (1.1 miles) walk along Station Road West, turn left into St Dunstans street then turn right into St Peters Place. Go straight over at the roundabout onto Reims way. Turn right at the next roundabout then take your first right onto Simmonds Road.
